Dartmouth Families Service Project - Sock Drive and Food Donations

For Family Weekend, bring new socks and non-perishable food items to be donated to families in need in the Upper Valley. Pay it forward and support Dartmouth's The Call to Serve!

Common Ground, Collis Center
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Service & Volunteer

Drop-off your donated new socks and non-perishable food items at the Summer Family Weekend check-in tables in the Collis Center – Common Ground.  The socks and food items will be donated to the Upper Valley Haven, a non-profit, private organization that serves people struggling with poverty by providing food, shelter, education, service coordination, and other support.  SOCKS:  New socks for men, women, and children are needed for families living in the Haven’s temporary housing shelters.  FOOD:  All non-perishable items are needed for the Food Shelf, but here are the top 5 current needs: soup, cereal/oatmeal, black beans, canned tuna/chicken and pasta.  Thanks for answering Dartmouth’s The Call to Serve initiative and helping families in need!
