Workshop #2 Co-sponsored by Leslie Humanities Center, Political Economy Project, Ethics Institute, Philosophy Department, Government Department and Rockefeller Center
Truth, Power, and the Foundations of Democracy is an interdisciplinary project aimed at addressing these questions, and related ones.
What role should truth have in a just and democratic society? How important are claims to truth for resisting unjust social practices? Can democracies effectively handle problems related to misinformation and limited information?
Co-organized by J. Russell Muirhead (Dartmouth Government) and David Plunkett (Dartmouth Philosophy).
All the events in the Truth, Power, and the Foundations of Democracy series will be held on the campus of Dartmouth College. (Specific room information will be emailed to registrants.)
All workshops, and the July 26 lecture from David Enoch, are free and open to all (space permitting).
Those who attend workshops need not attend every session. But all who plan to attend any part of any workshop must register by the relevant deadline:
Papers will be shared with (and only with) those who register by the deadlines listed above.
Please visit the project's website for more information: https://sites.google.com/view/tpfd-dartmouth
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
