Hanna Tetteh is the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the Horn of Africa; she will discuss the region's challenges, particular Sudan, South Sudan, and Ethiopia.
Class of 1950 Foreign Affairs Fellow Hanna Tetteh currently serves as the UN Secretary General's Special Representative for the Horn of Africa. In her talk she will address some of the particularly challenging peace and security issues in the region, particularly recent events in Sudan, South Sudan, and Ethiopia. She will also reflect on multilateral efforts to build an effective partnership between the UN and the African Union, as well as with other sub-regional organisations.
