Translating Gorbachev’s Legacy: Pavel Palazhchenko

The Dartmouth Political Union welcomes Mikhail Gorbachev’s chief English interpreter, Pavel Palazhchenko, to speak about Gorbachev’s lasting legacy.

Join The Dartmouth Political Union in welcoming Pavel Palazhchenko, Mikhail Gorbachev’s chief English interpreter from 1985 to 1991. 

Mr. Palazhchenko will share his experiences working as an important political interpreter and thoughts on Gorbachev’s international legacy, the end of the Cold War, and his current work with The Gorbachev Foundation.

Translating Gorbachev’s Legacy will be hosted via Zoom on Thursday, November 10th at 5 p.m. and uploaded to the Dartmouth Political Union YouTube after the event. Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff and the general public can register at dartgo.org/dpu. Due to the Dartmouth Zoom interface, Dartmouth participants must register with their Net I.D. @ dartmouth.edu
