The Yale grad student returns to alma mater for a talk on "Reclaiming Middle Brow Culture." Sponsored by the Daniel Webster Project, co-sponsored by the Political Economy Project.
A graduate of Dartmouth College with a major in Art History and a minor in Government, Jajodia returns to alma mater as a Ph.D. student in political theory at Yale University. His talk focuses on the conservative fetish with high culture and the left’s obsession with the subaltern. The victim of this combination, he argues, is cosmopolitanism, and his talk explores a middle ground to reclaim middlebrow culture—neither high nor low, comfortable in itself and able to mediate between both.
