Melissa S. Kearney is the Neil Moskowitz Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland, as well as Director of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution (where she is former director of the Hamilton Project), an NBER research associate, and affiliate of MIT’s Abdul Jameel Poverty Action Lab.
She is here to discuss her important and controversial book The Two-Parent Privilege: How Americans Stopped Getting Married and Started Falling Behind (University of Chicago Press, 2023).
