Frederic Bastiat (1801-50) has been described (by Schumpeter) as "the most brilliant economic journalist who ever lived." He is also one of the least known. In this PEP-sponsored talk, the life-long student of classical liberalism, David M. Hart, discusses his forthcoming edition of Bastiat's most ambitious work, the Economic Harmonies.
