Akshay Dixit is a new Assistant Professor of Government starting in Winter Term 2026 whose work explores global political systems, the political economy of development, and ethnic politics.
He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Calcutta, an M.A. from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. His research delves into group-based inequality, distributive politics, welfare states, and South Asian politics.
